Hard Rock Bali was my first encounter towards its franchise that has been widely known for its rockingly awesome accommodation especially among rockers and their famous counterpart. My first overseas trip was to Bali in 2005 when I won an all expenses-paid trip under Laurier with a local artiste, Misha Omar. Bali has been my favorite destination ever since because I was immediately smitten by the beauty of her natural charm and wonders, indescribable mysteries of their unique culture and belief plus their beautiful people that never short of smiles and hospitality. I must definitely thanks to Laurier for first introduced me to this gorgeous land also known as Island of Gods or Island of Peace. There's something about Bali that made me keep coming back for more.
I first set my foot here with a bunch of strangers but we became friends within split seconds. That time it was a pass through point for us to take some kodak moments and also to bring back home some souvenirs of their iconic T-shirts and pins/merchandize. Then i re-visited in 2013 also as stop over points before heading back home to Malaysia. But recently this year, 5 September 2015, I had a chance to stay in Hard Rock Bali for 3D2N courtesy of their instagram contest. I was overwhelmed and didn't expect that but wow i am really going to stay there. To some, it may be a norm but to me it was a privilege. and i am super blessed for all the good things that God has given me to experience.
I've received an email from Margaret Lovely of Hard Rock Bali few months prior to this trip and was overjoyed with anticipation. Thank you dear Lovely. Unfortunately we didnt had a chance to meet during my stay there as time did not permit, perhaps next time we should! :) Arrived at Hard Rock Bali at night after wandering around Ubud and Kintamani. As I entered the reception area, their receptionist was very attentive and came to assist us. I can see the urgency that they portrayed as guests stepped in to ask for something. My experience during the stay in Hard Rock Bali from checking-in to dining to using their services and facilities till checking-out was pleasant and smooth. Thumbs up for that!
Some other hotels that I've been especially when I handed a complimentary voucher, the response given from the staff could be mind blowing. Oh well.. probably in other countries including in Malaysia but that never happened in Bali. Infact, they are more delighted to start a conversation by asking how did i won with a congrats note of curiosity and a genuine smile. While keying in and preparing my room keys, I was told that due to overwhelming response of the occupancy that weekend, all deluxe room has been fully-booked AND that they have upgraded my room to a Premium Suite... i was like what? really? She was telling how lucky I am and congrats again before heading to me the keys. I guess I am lucky! :).
As I walked towards the room, I take a look around and I've noticed that only my room door was having this yellow sign of . So i knocked few times (my usual routine before entering hotel rooms for the first time) and was shocked!. Instead of seeing beds it was a living hall with huge 55-60 inch flat screen tv and sofa sets. Wow..as i walked in, there were dining table of 6 and then a kitchen area complete with a fridge, sink, mini bar area and set of cutlery sets. It doesnt stop there, then I saw the king size bed with side bed and then the shower room, separated with a bath tub. Oh ya, i'm not done yet, they were double set of sinks with huge bathroom mirrors and finally a changing/make up room. I felt like I am staying in an exquisite apartment instead of a hotel room!.
The room was spacious and clean with great sound system for movie marathon! I really enjoyed the stay with my sisters and we also managed to grab the opportunity to have our picture taken by their photographer team at their iconic guitars arch on our 2nd day where we collected the free printout before check-out.
Breakfast was also great with varieties of food served and all staff are never short of smile and always ready to assist us for any enquiry. At night, the rocking stage came to life and is always filled with entertainment rockstars streaming their guitars and banging drums with rhythm of euphoria.
I could not be more thankful than having this moment and experience with the people I love at my favorite place! Hard Rock Bali has certainly never fail to amaze me since i first set my foot here 10 years ago. The room and facilities might have refurbished and renew but their work culture and hospitality ..if not the same its just getting better! Till we meet again..xoxo.
