01.01.11 Dad asked if I would like to revisit the newly built temple of Sri Marathandavar Aalayam, Maran today. Orait, let's go. So both of us went on a road trip from Mentakab to Maran that took almost 1 hr 30 minutes. The last time i went there was like almost 6 years ago..i think. Well, the journey was great as the weather was so fine and we passed by oil palm plantation plus the view of the longest & main range of Malaysia , Banjaran Titiwangsa ahead us was simply breathtaking. But it started to rain few kilometres before arrival. However, upon reaching the temple, it stops and the sun started shinning bright.
Banjaran Titiwangsa ..simply breathtaking.Nice tree. i love it
I was amazed with the new design of the temple where the big tall tree was still maintained.

After we did our prayer, we went to have our lunch, which was the first meal of the year 2011. May GOD bless us all. Thank you for the food. What a good way to start the new year. Its Vegetarian plus temple food always taste so GOOD!. Then while eating, dad said someone asked the staff if she could donate some provision over there. Then it give me the idea to do the same as normally i share the bits to charity each time im back to my hometown. So we went to nearby sundry shops and get the necessary before returned to the temple to handover those items. Before that i snap some photos for your viewing pleasure. enjoy!
The river flowing at the back of the temple. dad remembered the day when he wished for his first child to be a daughter and his wish was granted. i was born (yeay!) and to honour that wish, both my parents and my late grandma (patti) had took me here when i was just a baby and shower me with this river water...certainly not a pretty site right now. that was like 30 years ago okay.

We then went to the nearest town to get some of the provision as donation. On the way we could see a Herd of cows by the road side Weird that the rain stops each time we reached the temple. It was heavy rain on the way back too. Started to rain when we are on the way to the temple after getting some of the provision Then the rain stopped when we are heading home. nice cloud.
