Doubletree By Hilton 'Ground Tour'

The vibe has been widely spread all over Twitter, Facebook and across Klang Valley. It was like an epidemic but with good disease discovered. Everyone get addicted to earn themselves a room stay or at least a chance to dine in at their famous Makan Kitchen. Yes!!..if you're already infected, by now you should know what I'm referring to. It is none other than the DoubleTree by Hilton 1st Birthday Bash giveaway. The cute mascot cookie walking around KL city with their dance crew are pretty hype up. Finally I managed to catch up with them earlier today at Sg. Wang. Surprisingly there wasn't much crowd like what I have seen from the pictures for other locations.  But it was still happening!

Let's stalk Doubletree mascot
They started with an energetic dance routine from Jennifer Lopez latest single "Dance on the floor", followed by David Gueta "Love is Gone" and last but not least the Birthday jingle that lasts for almost close to 5 minutes. I'll try to upload the video later as the line are pretty slow at this moment.
Pom Pom and dance music burst with delight at the entrance of Sg Wang Plaza

So I was not only get to stay at 5 stars Hilton, but I was also given the chance to meet someone that I've been watching only on tv all these years. Yes i grew loving her show and her bubbly personality while she explores the world almost 230 days a year!
The anticipating is running high as I am so eager and anxious to meet TLC most lovable Travel Goddess, Samantha Brown! The dinner supposed to start at 7pm, but oh well i have no idea why does this so called 'VIP' need to come late..if you blame it to the traffic, then why did we have public transport like the Monorail/PUTRA LRT/STARLRT or even the KTM located just a stone away from Hilton KL? like Duh? All of us here just want to meet Samantha Brown! Anyway since I'm staying in Hilton, I was there early and managed to catch up with other winners and invited bloggers like Tian Chad, Yi Wern and Helenness.
cant wait to meet her in person
Joey G was the MC for the dinner event and he was trying his level best to keep everyone awake while waiting. :P Finally managed to meet Connie Lim, Marketing Manager of Discovery Networks Asia Pacific and the rest of the management from Compass Communications. Really friendly people! Great that they provide a Polaroid session where we get to dress and pose for photos with the signature props from all around Asia.

After the 3rd course meal, Samantha came to each tables and there where we had chance to meet/chat/HUG/photo/autograph and share some travelling memories. Priceless!
She got my name spelt wrong but quick to amend it with a sorry note..so nice of you Sam!
She look super tall
Ronnie, Sam and I. the same pink colour..hehehe
She is such an inspiring person and I actually asked whether is this her dream job since she was young. She actually told me, it was a dream job that she never dream off. Yes, she never thought about it but one thing lead to another and as TLC were opening for auditions, she just went for it and score! Since then, no turning back. She loves meeting people, very down to earth, humble and yup ..with great sense of humor too. One advise she gave me, anything can happen when we dare to dream. Her warm hug just made my day! Awwwwww...:) She really look good in person and as if she doesn't age at ALL!. Later she showed us some photos through a slide show of all the Asian countries and she loves the most was Cambodia! The hard life of the people there doesn't deter their hospitality and of course the magnificent Angkor Wat simply amaze her.

Finally after dinner, had a chance to take picture with the MC, Joey G. (notable Dj /host in clubs and events) Such a humble guy too.
spontaneous and humble he is.

Cooking session with Ronnie Johnsen & David May

the title caught ur attention eh? well..read further...

2nd day at DoubleTree, rise and shine..after all that really yummylicious breakfast buffet at Makan Kitchen, I decided to go back to hotel room before heading to work as I forgot something. While walking towards the room at the corridor, I could hear voices of an English speaking gentleman..then i got shocked to bump into Vladimir Smicer and Patrik Berger. I quickly asked Mr Patrik, may i have a picture with the both of you...and with great smile early in the morning, while carrying their golf club, they just said sure.
OMG--its Patrik Berger & Vlamidir Smicer
We chatted a little while before waving goodbye...i swore that i saw the most mesmerizing blue eyes ever while talking to Smicer..omg..it was like the color of the ocean. Then off from my dreamland and went to work. I took ½ day leave coz later at 230pm , B will be cooking with the Masters Footballers at Makan Kitchen with the help of their chef. The session will be aired on Astro Awani while the interview article should be published somewhere that week.
½ day past so fast. And then we were waiting at Makan Kitchen 215pm.  After some brief introduction by the Manager of DoubleTree and the PIC for the contest winners, Ms Chin Yee. The cooking session started just fine with rb having the chance of his lifetime to cook with Ronnie Johnsen and David May, Chef Azri was pleased to help them on how to cook the roti jala. For the record, no one was hurt or harmed during the cooking session. LOL

But it turned out to be both Erna and I was the one chatting all the way as new found friends..ahaks...Then we just chilled at the Lobby to hopefully for some photo opportunity...hehehee...All those wait, finally managed to meet Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman, Stephane Henchoz and few others.

That night, while the EPL Masters Footballers are having their Gala dinner, we went to swimming pool for some splashing..and swimming. Tomorrow will be our last day here...:( and but didn’t managed to meet Asprilla..well...maybe next time..So the next morning, after breakfast, B left earlier as he need to work, Me and Joshua check out at 12pm. And while we were snapping some photos at the entrance of Double Tree, we thought we saw a glimpse of Asprilla..and guess what , it was really him.
